This 586-page curriculum was created for use by Deaf mentors who are working with young children who are deaf and their families.
The curriculum includes fully illustrated ASL lessons. Each ASL lesson consists of key ASL concepts and skills, pictures of the ASL signs and expressions, practice sentences, family activities, and suggested resources. The curriculum also includes lessons for family members about early visual communication and Deaf culture.
In addition to use by Deaf mentors, the curriculum can be used by parent advisors who are helping families to learn ASL, communicate visually, and to understand Deafness.
